Nurturing Growth: From Military Service to Entrepreneurship - My Journey of Healing, Discovery, and Being a Mom

As I sit here reflecting on my journey, I can't help but marvel at the winding path that has led me to where I am today. A journey that began with a career as a medical technician in the Canadian Forces, evolved through the challenges of overcoming a mental health injury and ultimately bloomed into the vibrant tapestry of Lamrock Digital Media and Beak n' Brush Original Artwork, collectively known as the Lamrock Creative. It's a story of resilience, self-discovery, and the beautiful fusion of diverse interests.

My days were once consumed by the rigours of military service, where I honed my skills as a medical technician and served my country with pride. But in 2017, my life took an unexpected turn when I was medically retired due to a mental health injury. Suddenly thrust into a new chapter of my life, I faced the daunting task of rebuilding myself from the ground up.

Amidst the darkness of uncertainty, there was a glimmer of light – the solace I found in farming, art, and the joy of nurturing something from the ground up. These passions became my refuge, providing me with a sense of purpose and healing during a time of profound confusion and transition. Whether it was tending to crops in the fertile soil or immersing myself in the creative process of painting, each moment spent in nature brought me closer to finding myself, probably for the first time.

Then, amidst the journey of healing and self-discovery, another chapter unfolded - the arrival of our beautiful daughter. Becoming a mom has been the most profound experience of my life, sparking personal growth and deepening my understanding of love and resilience. With each milestone she reaches, I am reminded of the beauty of life's journey, what it took to get here and the importance of nurturing growth in all its forms. Even when it hurts.

It was amidst these transformative experiences that Lamrock Creative was born. Inspired by my newfound passions and fuelled by a desire to share my journey with others, I embarked on the adventure of entrepreneurship. From graphic design to original artwork, each endeavour became a testament to my resilience and a celebration of the beauty found in life's unexpected twists and turns.

Now, as I look back on the journey that has brought me to this moment, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude. Gratitude for the healing power of nature, for the unwavering support of loved ones, and for the opportunity to turn adversity into triumph. My journey is far from over, but with Lamrock Digital Media and Beak n' Brush Original Artwork by my side, I am confident in the path that lies ahead.
